Uzbek weightlifter Akbar Jurayev (-110 kg) has claimed the title of absolute world champion at the ongoing World Weightlifting Championships in Norway.

After setting a world record in the snatch, Jurayev lifted 232 kg in the clean and jerk, finishing with a total of 428 kg, securing the world title.

Meanwhile, Ruslan Nurudinov earned two bronze medals, lifting 228 kg in the clean and jerk and achieving a total of 414 kg across both disciplines.
